Romantic Tulips

Nothing says romance like flowers. And nothing says spring like tulips so for your romantic spring wedding these tulips might be just the thing. You can find tulips to match almost any color scheme, you can plant them yourself for your centerpieces - they introduce a wealth of possibilities.

This design offers dimension, depth and elegant simplicity all at the same time - rather like tulips themselves. The names and dates on the outside hint of joy to come but all is not revealed until you open the card.

As with most Possibility Paper designs, the invitation  opens the door to so much more. A wedding announced with tulips can be simple and subtle or bold and adventurous. Could this be your invitation?

Coordination Revisited

This is one of our most popular designs. It can be color revised for any pallette - pinks, purples, corals, or mixed, and backed by the boldest color in your scheme.

How you word your invitation has a big impact on what we can do. If you have your heart set on naming everyone involved, you may need a design with less art than this. If, on the other hand, you just put your wording together using a form you found in an etiquette book, it may be possible to revise it to fit many more designs.

We like carrying your theme throughout every part of your wedding: from the ceremony to the reception, everywhere.

We designed these doorhangers to go with this invitation for use at the hotel where your guests are staying. Wouldn't you love to find this when you checked in for your best friend's wedding? We can carry your theme through to bags with snacks and maps in them, and even to the reception with place cards, table numbers or escort cards. If you are having favors or a guest book table, it's possible to stretch your theme even further. We are here to help! Give us a call!

Let us know what you hope for and we'll do our very best to make your dreams come true!

Springtime Elegance

As winter winds begin to blow - those of you getting married in the spring are turning your minds to invitations. We love our elegant spring design, and we hope you will too.

Wrapped in a layer of lacy paper and tied with a matching satin bow, this lovely blue invitation is elegant and sophisticated, traditional and new, all at the same time.

Love the invitation but want the traditional white or cream? Would you rather have your lace in a different color than the invitation?  One of the perks of using a custom stationer is that those things can be changed!

Only one couple can have this exact invitation - our designs are exclusive to each wedding. Is this one yours?

Keeping it Simple

Sometimes it's nice to get right to the point. We love each other. We're getting married.

This invitation says it all in a sweet and whimsical way. Of course you'll have to open the invitation for the rest of the story but doesn't it just make you smile?

This is an important point - lovely and fancy are not interchangeable. In fact, in many situations the words elegant and simple are interchangeable (especially in engineering circles.)

This simple tree has its own elegance. And you can exchange the hearts for shamrocks if you want to get married on St. Patrick's day or dress it up with cherry blossoms for spring or colorful leaves for fall. We could even add some sparkling snowflakes for a wintery feeling. (Remember - we do custom invitations! What can we design for you?)

Valentine Romance

There is probably no more romantic day to get married than Valentine's Day! So many possibilities with a Valentine's wedding. Traditional red and white or some serious chocolate? How about hearts and flowers?

Like all of Possibility Paper's designs, you can have it your way. Want something a little bit formal that still signals Valentine's Day? Look no further than this invitation. We can do a Valentine theme in Romantic, Whimsicial, Boho, Vintage, Woodland, Rustic, Classic or Elegant. Even a destination wedding could incorporate a Valentine's theme!

If you're getting married on or near Valentine's Day, it's time to nail down your guest list and your invitation design. What can we make for your wedding?

Celebrate in Style!

Your wedding will begin with a ceremony but it will most likely end with a party! And it will likely be the biggest and fanciest party you will every throw - so why not pull out all the stops and carry your theme through every aspect of your big day.

We love this black and white theme because whatever color tablecloths your venue features, the black and white will look stunning. Snowflake are lovely for a winter wedding, but this can be customized to any season.

Of course you can also choose another color with black or white tablecloths and create an equally impressive look for your reception.

Table numbers, place cards, menus, favors - whatever you want for your reception can be coordinated by Possibility Paper.

Tell us what you're imagining - we'd love to explore the possibilities with you!

Something old, something new

This week's featured invitation is the perfect representation of "something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue. . ."

It's an old style invitation, the text is centered, the ornamentation is across the top.

It is new, because it is square! Square invitations go in and out of fashion, and right now they are new again!

It is borrowed because some brilliant artist designed these lovely, lacy snowflakes and we borrowed them for your wedding invitations.

And they are definitely something blue. . .

This week is our deadline for invitations for weddings happening in 2017. If you want to get them mailed out 60 days in advance, we are at the wire for getting them done. So - if you've been sitting on the fence, decide today.  We will also be moving some of our designs to Etsy soon, so if you like one of our designs, and want it to be exclusively yours, order before the end of the year and we'll waive your design fees. That can be as much as $100 in savings!

A Christmas Woodland Wedding

Christmas is often a good time for a wedding because families are already gathered. This invitation uses the traditional colors and foliage of holly to call the guests to celebrate.

The invitation has four layers - a neutral base with a red layer scored in a diamond pattern. The white layer containing all the required info is backed in the same neutral. Then the invitation is garnished with stamped and cut-out holly leaves and berries.

Overall, the look is festive, Christmas-y and inviting. If a Christmas wedding is in your future, let's talk!  We will happily find ways to use YOUR favorite holiday things to create YOUR perfect invitation.

Formal Where?

Some couples approach their weddings with a touch of whimsy. We think that's a lot of fun to play around with and today's entry is winter whimsy on ice.

These adorable penguins are definitely ready for a cold-weather wedding - and who wouldn't want to join them after being so charmingly invited!

Your wedding may be the biggest party you'll ever throw so have fun with it. After all - penguins mate for life and that's what you're planning!

These little black and white critters are perfect for happy occasions so go ahead and imagine a black and white and red wedding. Serve hot chocolate to your guests. It will be delightful, and maybe a little bit magical. Whimsy wins this week!

Go For The Gold!

How can you have a warm, snowy wedding? Gold might be your magic ingredient; it's warm and cool all at the same time. Paired with white paper and snowflake designs, your invitation will tell your guests that they are warmly invited to your winter wedding.

The technique used here is heat embossing. Each snowflake is individually stamped, powdered, shaken, and heated to produce a shiny snowflake that is "raised" above the level of the paper. Very pretty and rich looking. You can even opt for glamorous, depending on the design.

Another reason to incorporate gold into your invitations is the doors it opens for decorating at your reception. The possibilities are endless. Let us know if you'd like to see more ideas - we are eager to help you plan!

Make it yours!

This week's photo illustrates how small changes can make a big difference in your invitations. The invitations pictured here have only two changes: The mat color, and the stamped image at the top. Yet with a quick glance you can see that they represent the four different seasons of the year.

You can just as easily use something this simple to forecast a theme for your wedding - an anchor for a seaside wedding or a castle for a fairy tale adventure in matrimony. Maybe you want hearts or flowers or a Christmas wreath. You are the one who decides what you want - and we'll do everything we can to make it happen: winter, spring, summer, or fall. We're ready and waiting to make your perfect invitations.

Frosted Romance

Are you getting married under frosty stars? Will bare branches shimmering with "snow" adorn the tables of your reception? The bare branches shown on this invitation are frosted with glittery "snow" and create an arch that serves as the entry way to your wedding.

These branches, with their supporting frame, are a wonderful possibility for invitations. We showed an invitation using them before. (Check it out here.) We've taken the branches from fall to winter with stunningly different outcomes.

As always, you can change the background color, order a corresponding RSVP card, add embellishments, or just talk with us about the possibilities inspired by this design. We hope we can help you invite your guests to the most romantic day of your life. Give us a call and let's explore the possibilities.

And now for something completely different. . .

Are you brave enough to go for the BOLD? It takes a confident couple to dispense with the traditional white invitation. What a statement this emerald gem makes! With marbled printing and gold embellishments, this is an invitation to treasure forever.

We imagine a richly colored and shine-studded wedding when we look at this invitation. Can't you imagine wreaths of ribbons and burgeoning bouquets of every shade of flower?

A reception with tablecloths in this color would be remembered for years to come. Are you bold enough?

Rustic Winter

Rustic weddings have been in vogue for many years now, partly because they are so very versatile! We tend to associate them with wildflowers, mason jars and outdoors, but with the increasing number of venues available, there's no reason you can't have a rustic wedding in the middle of the winter. Se we thought you needed an invitation option for that - and look what our designer Laurie came up with! An invitation perfect for a wedding in the North Woods of Minnesota, the mountains of Colorado, or even at a ski resort in Vermont.

If you've been looking for an invitation for your snowy wedding, look no further!

Winter Wedding

Winter wedding? This design is an incredibly elegant option. The invitation, made from a shimmery paper, features an open front with a snowflake hanging in the opening. Inside, yet another snowflake is stamped giving you three lovely  layers. The center layer is embossed in silver and the topmost flake is adorned with a rhinestone in the center adding to the winter sparkle. Silver satin ribbon provides more texture and shimmer, evoking new-fallen snow by moonlight.

Because the interior space is limited by the large snowflake stamped there, you will want the simplest wording possible (which is also very elegant.)

If you are looking for invitations for a December or January wedding, this design might be perfect. Contact us soon if you wish to mail them out before the snow flies.

YOUR Way

Our new TIMELESS line lets you create invitations YOUR way without the expense of creating a design from scratch.

Each TIMELESS invitation has four design factors. Combined they create at least 72 possibilities so your chances of duplication are minimal.

The first two design factors are related to layout. First is whether you prefer vertical (as shown here) or horizontal.

The second factor is the textured edge. Here it is shown at the top of a vertical design. It can just as easily be placed at the left, the right or the bottom.

Once the layout has been determined you will have two color decisions to make. The first is the color of the printed/textured space. This section is available in white, as shown, or cream.

Then you will want to decide on the color of the mat. In this photo the invitation has a black mat. We are offering eight other choices for your mat: Cherry, Coral, Curry, Marina, Plum, Razzleberry, Slate, and Wasabi.

Now for the exciting part! These invitations cost $1.74 each, including envelopes. And, from now through Labor Day you can order them 15% off.  That's $1.48 per invitation during our introductory promotion.

Sample packs, including a full-sized invitation with text, and swatches of all colors of paper available for use can be ordered for $3. If you choose TIMELESS, the sample fee will be applied to your order. Just send us an email at possibilitypaper@hotmail.com and we'll get it out to you right away.

Hand-painted Woodland Posie

Don't let the simplicity of this design fool you - these are one-of-a-kind invitations.

The design originates with a stamp but is embossed on watercolor paper with clear powder to allow the white markings to come through. Then, the areas between the lines are hand-painted with colors blending together, just as they do in nature. And, as in nature, no two will be identical.

This technique can be translated into different designs for different occasions. Imagine watercolored invitations for a shower, a brunch, or any kind of celebration.

These invitations are quite time-consuming so require a longer lead time for large quantities; please keep that in mind. In spite of that, if you love watercolor, this may very well be your choice!

Destination Happily Ever After

Though we tend to assume a tropical venue, a destination wedding can be anywhere the couple chooses. An autumn wedding in a location where there is magnificent fall color is a great choice!

As with any destination wedding, the more time you give your friends and family to make plans, the more likely they will find a way to be there. Using an advance "save the date" notice will help your guests make arrangements. Using a photo from the place where you are getting married helps to get your guests in the mood for your wedding, even if it is months away! This simple save the date card uses a fabulous photo of the destination. Photography cards like this can have printing on the back, be made into postcards or mounted on a coordinating background. Can we help you get the word out?

Harvest Elegance

If traditional fall colors make you think of Halloween then this elegant pairing can help you make the leap to Harvest. Using tones of fig and peach, this invitation almost makes your mouth water. It's rich and deep and evokes autumn and conjures up style, but no ghosts or goblins.

Imagine a bridal bouquet that features purple calla lilies and sonja roses with fall embellishments. Picture tables with garlands of fall leaves running down the middle. Could your bridesmaids look elegant in gowns of rich hues? Can your wedding dinner incorporate the beautiful colors of harvest?

Elegance is not necessarily costly, but it is rich - in color, in tradition, in taste and in history. Like the harvest, elegance takes time to ripen.
