A Christmas Woodland Wedding

Christmas is often a good time for a wedding because families are already gathered. This invitation uses the traditional colors and foliage of holly to call the guests to celebrate.

The invitation has four layers - a neutral base with a red layer scored in a diamond pattern. The white layer containing all the required info is backed in the same neutral. Then the invitation is garnished with stamped and cut-out holly leaves and berries.

Overall, the look is festive, Christmas-y and inviting. If a Christmas wedding is in your future, let's talk!  We will happily find ways to use YOUR favorite holiday things to create YOUR perfect invitation.

Formal Where?

Some couples approach their weddings with a touch of whimsy. We think that's a lot of fun to play around with and today's entry is winter whimsy on ice.

These adorable penguins are definitely ready for a cold-weather wedding - and who wouldn't want to join them after being so charmingly invited!

Your wedding may be the biggest party you'll ever throw so have fun with it. After all - penguins mate for life and that's what you're planning!

These little black and white critters are perfect for happy occasions so go ahead and imagine a black and white and red wedding. Serve hot chocolate to your guests. It will be delightful, and maybe a little bit magical. Whimsy wins this week!

Go For The Gold!

How can you have a warm, snowy wedding? Gold might be your magic ingredient; it's warm and cool all at the same time. Paired with white paper and snowflake designs, your invitation will tell your guests that they are warmly invited to your winter wedding.

The technique used here is heat embossing. Each snowflake is individually stamped, powdered, shaken, and heated to produce a shiny snowflake that is "raised" above the level of the paper. Very pretty and rich looking. You can even opt for glamorous, depending on the design.

Another reason to incorporate gold into your invitations is the doors it opens for decorating at your reception. The possibilities are endless. Let us know if you'd like to see more ideas - we are eager to help you plan!

Make it yours!

This week's photo illustrates how small changes can make a big difference in your invitations. The invitations pictured here have only two changes: The mat color, and the stamped image at the top. Yet with a quick glance you can see that they represent the four different seasons of the year.

You can just as easily use something this simple to forecast a theme for your wedding - an anchor for a seaside wedding or a castle for a fairy tale adventure in matrimony. Maybe you want hearts or flowers or a Christmas wreath. You are the one who decides what you want - and we'll do everything we can to make it happen: winter, spring, summer, or fall. We're ready and waiting to make your perfect invitations.

Frosted Romance

Are you getting married under frosty stars? Will bare branches shimmering with "snow" adorn the tables of your reception? The bare branches shown on this invitation are frosted with glittery "snow" and create an arch that serves as the entry way to your wedding.

These branches, with their supporting frame, are a wonderful possibility for invitations. We showed an invitation using them before. (Check it out here.) We've taken the branches from fall to winter with stunningly different outcomes.

As always, you can change the background color, order a corresponding RSVP card, add embellishments, or just talk with us about the possibilities inspired by this design. We hope we can help you invite your guests to the most romantic day of your life. Give us a call and let's explore the possibilities.
